چکیده
We discuss theoretical and practical issues of data-driven phase reconstruction approaches for nonlinear oscillatory systems by means the geometric technique embeddings protophase-to-phase transformation. In this chapter, we introduce a natural extension well-studied Hilbert transform iteration. The novel approach, termed iterated embeddings, implements central assumptions underlying allows exact demodulation purely modulated signals. Here, examine performance method more challenging situation generic phase-amplitude signals simple system. particular present benefits approach secondary analysis steps illustrated response curve. Limitations are disussed noise-driven dynamics.

Improved specimen reconstruction by Hilbert phase contrast tomography.
The low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in images of unstained specimens recorded with conventional defocus phase contrast makes it difficult to interpret 3D volumes obtained by electron tomography (ET). The high defocus applied for conventional tilt series generates some phase contrast but leads to an incomplete transfer of object information. For tomography of biological weak-phase objects, optim...
متن کاملIterated Aluthge Transforms: a Brief Survey
Given an r × r complex matrix T , if T = U |T | is the polar decomposition of T , then the Aluthge transform is defined by ∆ (T ) = |T |U |T |. Let ∆n(T ) denote the n-times iterated Aluthge transform of T , i.e. ∆0(T ) = T and ∆n(T ) = ∆(∆n−1(T )), n ∈ N. In this paper we make a brief survey on the known properties and applications of the Aluthge trasnsorm, particularly the recent proof of the...

متن کاملGeneralized multidimensional Hilbert transforms in Clifford analysis
During the last fifty years, Clifford analysis has gradually developed to a comprehensive theory offering a direct, elegant, and powerful generalization to higher dimension of the theory of holomorphic functions in the complex plane. In its most simple but still useful setting, flat m-dimensional Euclidean space, Clifford analysis focusses on the so-called monogenic functions, that is, null sol...
